Expected This Month: A Better Way to Navigate the HealthStream Community
As the HealthStream Community continues to grow, we're introducing an updated top navigation menu designed to make it easier to find the resources, tools, and information you need.

The new navigation provides quicker access to product-specific resources, educational content, discussions, and more—helping you accomplish what you need with fewer clicks and a more intuitive experience.

The updated navigation will be available to all Community users beginning August 7th. No action is required—we're excited to bring you this enhanced experience soon!

Expected This Month: Updates & Enhancements to Video Players

HealthStream is enhancing HealthStream Video Basic, Video Plus, and Video Complete video players with an updated version. Benefits of these updates include:

Faster load and start times: Videos will begin playing more quickly and with greater stability, ensuring a smoother learning experience with fewer delays.
Better playback across browsers and devices: The updated player is fully optimized for HTML5 and modern environments, offering more consistent performance whether learners are on a desktop, tablet, or mobile device.
Modern, customizable design: The refreshed interface includes a cleaner layout and flexible UI options to deliver a more intuitive, learner‑friendly experience.

Please note that there is no action involved on your part for these changes to take effect.

HLC: HEALTHSTREAM LEARNING CENTER

Live: 12-Month Transition Period for Assignment Progress-Based Reports

We hope you are enjoying the redesigned Assignment Progress report that is now live in Insights!

With the release of the redesign in April, a 12-month transition period for assignment progress-related reports started on May 1, 2026.

What is the 12-month transition period?

Once an Insights report is released, organizations have 12 months to transition from using the HealthStream Learning Center report(s) to the Insights report. After this 12-month period, the corresponding HLC report(s) will no longer be accessible to run from the HLC Reports page and existing scheduled reports will no longer run.

The following HealthStream Learning Center reports will be disabled on April 30, 2027:

Assignment Completion - Schedulable
Assignment Completion - Drill-Through
Delinquent/Past Due - Drill-Through
Delinquent/Past Due - Schedulable
Student Assignment Completion
Enterprise Assignment Completion

We encourage organizations to transition to the Insights report prior to the 12-month deprecation date to ensure users are comfortable with the new reporting.

Communication and reminders will be provided on a recurring basis, including on the HealthStream Learning Center Reports page, to keep you aware of the transition deadline.

Live: Insights Enhancements

Assignment Progress: Schedule a Report that Returns 0 Results
- You can now schedule an Assignment Progress report that initially returns 0 results.
Assignment Progress: Additional Filter Options on Select Assignments Page
- You can now search for assignments using a “Fixed Due Date” range or a “Created On” date range.
Assignment Progress: “Student Created At” Filter Renamed
- The “Student Created At” filter has been renamed to “Institution” for better clarity on what this field represents.
Custom Reports: New Dataset Combinations Available for Class Metadata
- You can now build a report combining class metadata with any of these datasets: Assignment Progress, Assignment Metadata, or Course Metadata.
Custom Reports: Filter Character Limit Increased
- The character limit on Custom Report filter values has been expanded from 50 characters to 500 characters, allowing for longer strings to be entered.

Expected This Month: Insights Assignment Listing Report

Starting this month, you will be able to report on your assignments within Insights with the Assignment Listing report. This report will include information related to assignments, such as the learning items within the assignment, dates like Go-live date and Due Date, assignment settings, and more.

Expected This Month: Insights Student Listing Report

Starting this month, you will be able to report on your students within Insights with the Student Listing report. This report will include information related to students, such as the student’s department, institution, job title, job category, manager, hire date, and more.

Coming Soon: Additional Datasets in Insights Custom Reports

Curriculum Metadata: Report on information related to your curricula.
Equivalent Metadata: Report on information related to your equivalents.
Education: Report on a student’s education.
Work Experience: Report on a student’s work experience.
