Bringing Smarter Tools for Faster Decisions and Better User Experiences
We’re excited to share the September Q3 updates to CredentialStream, featuring streamlined committee decision-making in Appoint, a mobile-friendly Application Request page, and performance boosts in Quick Edit. Additional enhancements include expanded roster and credential settings in Enroll, new Bolt variables for deeper reporting, and fixes improving reliability across the Hub. Quarterly Highlights
- Appoint Committee Integration: New Committee Set-up integration with Appoint provides ability to configure committees within the appoint templates, schedule meetings, collect votes, and record outcomes—streamlining the appointment decision process.
- Application Request Page (Mobile): Modernized on React for mobile responsiveness with enhanced views, customer logos, customizable help text, facility search/selection, and streamlined displays.
- Quick Edit Performance: Optimizations for Appoint, Workflow, and Enroll Quick Edits now process updates in the background to speed up the load times.
Monthly Maintenance Improvements
- Alert Description Setup: Alerts now support predefined lookup descriptions for faster, consistent entry.
- Bolt Variables: Added variables for user info, work history, references, facility roles, and obsolete values to expand reporting.
- Quick Edit Notifications: Clearer feedback with icons, color-coding, and improved status messages.
- Enroll: Expanded roster settings with more certification types, NPI fields, malpractice categories, and NPI-based searches.
- Privileges: Privilege Line Items with Notes now exclude empty or default subheadings while keeping notes.

View vSource Updates
Look for the new vSource Updates link under the Resources section in Thrive. This link directs you to the Knowledge Base's list of updates and changes related to vSource tables in CredentialStream. It's a great way to stay informed of enhancements that may impact your organization.
For larger updates, we'll share announcements directly in Community to ensure you're always informed. They can be found at Resources > Updates & Known Issues > Updates. Each update will include a discussion post where you can ask questions, share feedback, and connect with the team or your peers about what the changes mean for your workflow. |

HL7 Exports Editor
- Redesigned the HL7 Exports Editor in the new Bolt UI to be a more intuitive and efficient editing experience, including drag-and-drop features, simplified segment management, and upcoming enhancements to streamline HL7 configuration.

Payer Contract
- Users can now set the default status (Active, Inactive, Pending, etc.) for new Payer Contract Records with a new Default Provider Payer Contract Status system setting. This applies when adding new provider Payer Contract records to Providers and Organizations, and when using Bolt’s Batch Add functionality. To set the default status, go to Set Up > System > Configuration > System Parameters.

Appoint Committee Integration
- Enhanced the Appoint Decision Process functionality to allow for a fully virtual committee review by integrating with the Committee record area under a provider. This allows multiple committee members (such as Credentials Committee, Medical Executive Committee, Governing Board, etc.) to vote electronically through the Hub. - 10:00 PM - 11:00 PM CT Every 3rd Wednesday.
- System Maintenance:
- 7:00 PM - 12:00 AM CT 2nd Sunday and last Sunday of each month.

CredentialStream Tip: Appoint Process - Committees Set Up
Learn how to set up committees to collect votes from committee members. |

Appoint Template Forms, which support the Committee Review process, can now be set up to collect voting from multiple committee members and no longer needs to take place outside of CredentialStream! Follow the steps below to set up and use this new feature.
Let's get started!
Add a Committee Record to the Reviewer:
- From the top menu, search for and select the provider (reviewer).
- In the provider Committee record area, select the Add Committee button.
- Add the needed data to identify the committee, facility, position, and the from date of the reviewer.

Add a Department Record:
To have reviewers automatically assigned to the review, Committee Reviewers need to have Department records for the positions.
- Select the Department record area.
- Select the Add Departments button.
- Add the applicable fields.

Set Up Position Functionality:
The position functionality determines which rights the committee member has, based on the committee record created.
- From the top menu, go to Set up > Position > Position Function.
- Select the +Add Position button.
- Select the position that will be used when adding committee records to the provider. Based on our example above, we will select Member for this position set up.

- Select the appropriate permissions for the functions for this position. Hover over a function question mark to view an explanation of the function.
- Select the Committee Membership tab to view providers that have this position in their record.

Set up the Committee Meeting Occurrence:
- From the top menu, go to Set up > Meetings & CME / Courses > Meeting Maintenance.
- Select Committee Meeting from the drop-down at the top.
- Select the +Add Committee Meeting button.
- Add the required fields and any other desired fields.
NOTE: Committee Meeting Maintenance is a user setting that must be enabled to access this area. |

- Scroll to view the members for the meeting, based on the Committee and Department positions created earlier.
|
|

Set Up Committees in the Appoint Templates:
- From the top menu, go to Set up > Appoint > Template Form Maintenance.
- Select the Committee Line Item to edit.
- Set the Hide from Hub toggle to No.
- In the Comment Field Settings drop-down, select Committees.
- Select the desired committee for the line item.

| Once all of the set up is completed, you can begin using the Appoint Committee integration. The integration will allow committee members to log into the Hub and provide their vote for the provider being reviewed and approved. Users can then review who voted via the meeting attendance when they return to the meeting created earlier. |
