National Doctors' Day is March 30th!
National Doctors' Day honors the dedication and compassion demonstrated each day by more than one million physicians caring for patients nationwide. Starting over 90 years ago in Winder, Georgia, Eudora Brown Almond first encouraged her community to recognize physicians with cards for their extraordinary life-saving work. March 30th was chosen to commemorate the first use of anesthesia during surgery in 1842, and the day was officially recognized by the U.S. government in 1990. Today, we proudly continue this tradition, taking time to recognize, appreciate, and support the physicians who improve lives and strengthen our communities every day.
Join us in celebrating National Doctors' Day and let doctors know we appreciate them and wholeheartedly support them.

National Credentialing Forum 2026: Key Takeaways
Tawna Knight, CPCS, HealthStream CVO Director, attended the National Credentialing Forum on February 5-6, 2026 — an exclusive event for leaders in credentials verification and provider enrollment. Here are a few key themes shaping the year ahead:
Performance Monitoring Requires Better Tools:
- Volume alone no longer reflects quality. As care becomes increasingly team-based, organizations are struggling with individual attribution and meaningful measurement across the full care continuum. Leaders emphasized the need for software capable of capturing accurate metrics — particularly when relying on billing data to reflect performance.
Accreditation Stability — With Emerging AI Considerations:
- Most accrediting agencies reported a stable year with no major standard changes (AAAHC will open a public comment period on February 26). At the same time, accrediting bodies are actively exploring how artificial intelligence may shape future policies and best practices.
- Common survey pitfalls persist, including generic provider scorecards and inaccurate telemedicine privilege documentation — areas drawing continued scrutiny.
National Association Updates:
- Major associations are evaluating artificial intelligence for guideline development and supporting the transition from Physician Assistant to Physician Associate. The ABMS will open public comment on proposed changes to initial certification later this month.
NAMSS Momentum:
- NAMSS has launched an AI Task Force, celebrated 123 professionals passing the inaugural Certified Provider Enrollment Specialist (CPES) exam, and continues collaborating with software vendors to improve credentialing platform functionality.

| |
|
|
|
| |
Set up standard document names that are linked to scanned image sub areas, then simultaneously upload an image into Documents and Images, as well as into the affiliated scanned image field within the record itself.
Let's get started:
To Set Admin Permissions:
- Go to Set up > System > User / Group > User / Group Maintenance.
- Select the user or group and then select Settings > Maintenance.
- Change the Document Name Mapping toggle to YES.
|

To Link Document Names:
- Select Data > vSource Data and select Document Names in the drop-down.
- Select Request or Edit on the far right for the desired document name.
|
|
|
| |
- Select the record area. In this example, Current Malpractice Insurance images will link to the Malpractice Carriers record area.
- Select the Type and Sub-Type, if applicable. These fields are enabled when a Record area is selected.
- Select a Field Label, which is typically one of the scanned image fields in the selected record.
- When saved, any image added with that Document Name added in Documents and Images will link to the Current Malpractice Record.
|
|
|
| |
To Add an Image:
- Select Documents and Images and select the Add Image button.
- Upload an image and select the ellipses for Document Name.
- For this example, select Current Malpractice Insurance.
- In the Record field, select the applicable Current Malpractice Record for this image.
