CredentialStream for Groups Tip: State License Verification

Learn how to use Monitoring to verify State Licenses.

Monitoring or primary source verification (PSV) is a process to confirm the accuracy of a provider's credentials and qualifications as well as the monitoring of federal sites to ensure your providers are in good standing. It allows you to perform regular transactions on the Office of Inspector General (OIG), System for Award Management (SAM), and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and now State Licensing websites.

Let's get started!

On the left navigational panel, select Monitor.
Select the New Query button.

Select the Query Options toggles for the entities to be queried.
Select the Select All checkbox or select the checkbox next to each provider to be included in the query.
Select Get Preview button.

Select the different entity tabs to preview the providers listed.
Unselect the checkbox for the providers not needed.
Select the Send Query button.

NOTE: The State License list does not include inactive licenses. Also, if a provider has more than one active license, they will be listed multiple times.

On the Most Recent tab, the Query Status column displays Processing until the results come back. DEA queries may take longer than the other queries.

After the results are complete, select the Download button to download a PDF copy of the results.

To download multiple records at one time, select the All tab.
If necessary, select the Show advanced filters link and add the desired information.
Select the Download Selected button.

To download the PDF from the provider profile, select the provider.
Select Monitor Queries from the provider's list.
Select the Download button.
To download multiple records, select the checkbox for each record.
Select the Download Selected button.

NOTE: If a verification has failed, make sure that the licensing entity has a True value set to the Can Validate? field in the provider's license record area. If set to false, the license cannot be verified through CredentialStream for Groups.
