As of August 5, 2026, our partnership with APEX Innovations has ended, and the following NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) courses are no longer available:

Topics and Competencies Covered: Learners will build practical dementia care skills, including Positive Physical Approach™ and Hand-under-Hand® techniques, effective communication across stages of brain change, and compassionate strategies for managing challenging situations. The new courses also cover key conditions such as Lewy body, frontotemporal, and vascular dementia, along with late-stage and end-of-life care. Learners will strengthen their ability to recognize unmet needs, reduce risks, support daily activities, and adapt care to each individual.

Live: Implicit Bias for Clinicians Course

We’re pleased to share that the Implicit Bias for Clinicians course is now available again in CE Unlimited with ANCC accreditation. We are currently pursuing reaccreditation through the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and will provide an update as soon as this accreditation becomes available for the course.

Expected September: New York State Required Training Updates

The following courses are scheduled to be available again in CE Unlimited on September 8th. At relaunch, each course will include additional instructions to help support accurate completion reporting to New York State:

Addendum Training Overview
The new addendum training reflects updated New York State mandated reporter education requirements and provides additional guidance on recognizing potential maltreatment involving children with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Learner Guidance
Learners should consider completing the addendum if they completed an approved New York State Mandated Reporter Training between November 1, 2022 and August 31, 2025. New York State approved providers are expected to begin offering updated mandated reporter training that includes the new Chapter 25 requirements on September 1, 2025. Mandated reporters, including those who previously completed the training, must complete the updated curriculum by November 17, 2026. Learners who complete the full updated course on or after September 1, 2025 may not need the separate addendum, provided the course includes the new requirements.

New Assessment Notification: This enhancement adds an email notification that will be sent to learners when a Jane Assessment is assigned to them. Immediate assignments will send an alert in near real-time. Assignments with future start dates will send an alert on the start date of the assignment.
New Courses in the Graduating Nurse Pathway: Two new courses have been added to the Graduating Nurse Pathway and are now part of the CJA Development Plan. Developed in partnership with Galen College of Nursing, we have added two courses, one on Compassionate Care and one on Professionalism. These courses are designed to enhance students' knowledge and reinforce the foundational behaviors and values essential to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care as they prepare to enter the nursing profession.

CHILD-MATERNAL CONTENT

Live: Quality OB Dashboard

In April, we released a new Quality OB dashboard available to Quality OB administrators within the Insights application. This dashboard provides clear visibility into performance by benchmarking clinical knowledge and judgment, providing completion tracking, and helping to uncover actionable trends in obstetric risk to gauge training impact and ROI. Administrators will appreciate the enhanced user interface and ease of use with the quick ability to download and export data as needed. Here is a quick guide on how to access this new dashboard. The current Quality OB dashboard within the “reports” section of the HLC will be sunsetting by September 30, 2026, and administrators need to begin utilizing the new Insights application.

Live: S.T.A.B.L.E. Content Revisions

On June 25, 2026, minor updates were made within STABLE Foundations and STABLE Program Online Course, 7th edition to better align with the way AAP represents blood gas parameters for cooling algorithms. The PDF therapeutic hypothermia eligibility checklist in STABLE Foundations Part 3 was replaced and also replaced in the course Resource Center. In the STABLE online course, the checklist was also updated in the temperature module during the baby Emma case as well as the PDF updated in the Resource Center. Learners in progress with current versions need to complete by September 30, 2026.

Live: Updated Version of “Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding”

If you contract for Jones & Bartlett’s Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding, the modules received an update on July 28 to remove any You Tube video links. Videos are still available to support learners’ knowledge and experience but no longer link out to the You Tube site. Learners in progress with the current course version must complete before expiration October 31, 2026 . Additionally, administrators have the option to assign the comprehensive curriculum that provides 15 contact hours or to assign 1 or more individual courses to learners that may not want or need to take the entire 10-step program based on their competency needs. The individual courses also received the new video update and underwent a title change. New course titles you’ll see available for assignment are below. NOTE: Learners completing individual courses still receive a completion certificate if needed for the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) accreditation survey but cannot earn CE at the individual course level.

Live: New Version of Essentials of Pediatric Acute Care Orientation (EPACO)

If you contract for Essentials of Pediatric Acute Care Orientation (EPACO) from Pediatric Learning Solutions (PLS), version 4.0 released August 2 – key details below. Learners in progress with current version modules should complete by expiration date of August 31, 2026.

Pediatric Nutrition: The Pediatric Nutrition Overview course will be split into two lessons to improve learner engagement and retention.
- Pediatric Nutrition Overview: this lesson will cover the fundamentals of pediatric nutrition including age-specific nutritional needs, obesity prevention and management and risk factors for malnutrition
- Modalities of Pediatric Nutrition (NEW): this lesson will focus on nutritional support and modalities of nutrition for the pediatric patient including age-appropriate formula and/or food choices, oral supplementation and parenteral nutrition
Child Abuse and Neglect: Adding content to address Munchhausen’s “factitious disorder” and human trafficking. Two topics that were identified as gaps by PLS’s pediatric advisory committee.
PLS App Supplemental Learning Activity: Case Study for Medication Administration Safety will be added to the PLS App to create a digital experience that allows clinicians to apply their knowledge of medication safety by making decisions and observing outcomes related to adverse signs and symptoms during medication administration.
Retiring Courses: Courses previously separated into different versions for Child Life Professionals and Respiratory Therapists will permanently retire after August 31 (below). Content and CE credit will be delivered via main course editions with the same title.

Expected This Month: New Courses Added to Quality OB: ED Essentials

For customers who have purchased the product, Quality OB: ED Essentials, 4 brand-new courses written by an ED subject matter expert will be published to your course library this month to continue to enhance the value of the product and meet customer needs. The four new courses being added this month include:

Quality OB: Postpartum Hemorrhage for Emergency Department Staff: This learning activity equips emergency department professionals with the clinical knowledge, skills, and communication strategies needed to recognize and manage postpartum hemorrhage (PPH). Learners will focus on early identification of risk factors, evidence-based prevention strategies, and the rapid implementation of an effective PPH management response.
Quality OB: Cardiovascular Disease- Pregnancy Through Postpartum for Emergency Department Staff: Upon completion of this learning activity, emergency department professionals will be able to identify cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors and complications in pregnant and postpartum patients, apply evidence-based assessment strategies to high-risk populations, including Black patients who face disporportionate risk, and recognize CVD as a leading cause of pregnancy-related mortality through one year postpartum.
Quality OB: Sepsis- Pregnancy Through Postpartum for Emergency Department Staff: Sepsis is a life-threatening medical emergency and the second leading cause of pregnancy-related mortality. It is defined as organ dysfunction that may result from infection during pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum period, miscarriage, or post-abortion. Emergency Department clincians should be aware of early recognition of the signs and symptoms of sepsis in pregnancy, screening protocols, and initiating early treatment, which will assist in early recovery, the chance of survival, and safe outcomes for the pregnant patient and neonate.
Quality OB: Early Pregnancy Complications in the Emergency Department : This learning activity presents key concepts and practical approaches for managing early pregnancy complications (before 20 weeks of gestation) in the emergency department, including vaginal bleeding, abdominal and pelvic pain, ectopic pregnancy, hyperemesis gravidarum, and urinary tract infection. By focusing on what may present to the ED, what to look for, what can be done in the emergency setting, when to involve OB or GYN healthcare providers, and what to include in discharge instructions, the activity supports safe, consistent care and reduced risk for adverse outcomes. Content emphasizes high-risk warning signs, timely consultation, and documentation practices that promote quality and mitigate medicolegal and organization risk.

SPECIALTY CONTENT

Live: AACN ECCO Content Updates and Extended CE Credit

A new update for AACN Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) 4.3 is now available to all existing ECCO customers. This release includes content enhancements across several modules along with an extension of the course's Continuing Education credit:

Extended CE Credit — The CE expiration date has been extended to July 1, 2029, allowing learners to continue earning the full contact hours (up to 75.45 for the ICU track and 67.72 for the PCU track).
Neurologic Disorders, Part 1 — Content updates and enhancements
Renal Disorders, Part 1 and Part 2 — Content updates and enhancements
Endocrine Disorders — Content updates and enhancements
Global Perspectives in the Care of Critically Ill Patients, Part 2 — A priority correction to the "Prioritizing and Organizing Your Nursing Care" assignment (ICU and PCU tracks), clarifying content on the ABCDE Bundle

These updates have been applied automatically, and no action is required on your part. The course structure, total CE hours, and accreditation remain unchanged.

Live: OASIS-E1 to OASIS-E2 Updates

We’re excited to share that the full OASIS Section-by-Section series has been updated to align with OASIS-E2 and is now ready for use. Since every section in the series was updated, this release should be viewed as an entirely new series rather than a partial revision. Throughout the series, you’ll find updated guidance, revised item definitions, and clearer direction on assessment and scoring rules to support OASIS-E2 requirements.
